God Wastes Nothing

God wastes Nothing

Have you been struggling with your thankfulness list this Thanksgiving?

If so, I want you to know, you are not alone! I know in my heart that I have so much to be thankful for. I know that I am blessed And God is still good. But, geez, 2020! right?

I’ve been a bit melancholy about the whole thankfulness topic. Which really isn’t like me. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite Holidays and practices. But, it’s been tuff for me to process all of what 2020 has been like. How about you?

It’s a lot. But, then, I saw this ornament from bykyleighrose on Etsy. And I just couldn’t get this statement out of my mind!

I mean, it sort of bubbled up inside of me until I wanted to shout it out!

God Wastes Nothing!!!!!

This crazy year? He knows. The disappointments? He knows! The confusion and uncertainty of the future? He knows! And God wastes nothing!

You see He is still working. He is still working all things for our good and His glory. As believers, we can trust Him!

I know, I know. I don’t totally get it either. It’s hard for our finite minds to wrap around such a magnificent, infinite God!

But, what I do know is He can be trusted. So, this week, I’m doing the tuff thing. I’m going to seek out those things that I can be thankful for. Even during the end of 2020. I want to seek out those moments when God’s hands can be seen working in and through my family, my struggles, my emotions.

Now, I’m not saying, I’m going to plaster a smile on my face and pretend everything is ok. I’m not even saying you have to pretend to be happy about all the things. It is 100% ok to grieve. It’s ok to mourn the loss of plans, jobs, expectations, an entire year!!!!

But, we can do all that, while trusting. Trusting that even when we can’t see it, God Almighty is working all things out. and Has a plan!

Because God wastes nothing!

Can it be true? nothing? How can that be? It is, dear brothers and sisters, it is true!! God wastes nothing!

He is the God who never changes and has this whole life in his hands!

All the things, the loss, the sickness, the devastation, disappointment. HE doesn’t waste it! Now that isn’t meant to diminish the pain or suffering. That’s all very real. “…in this world you have tribulations…”

John 16:33 ” These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulations, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

And I’m not saying you should be walking around saying, “I’m so glad things are horrible.” nope! The Lord’s perfect plan for you was a perfect world without sin, pain, or suffering.

BUT be of good cheer! The Lord has overcome. And he doesn’t waste this valley we are crawling through. None of it, is wasted.

He will use it! For His glory. For your strengthening. For building up your faith. For spreading HIS name abroad.

Have Joy. Be Honest. And yet Rejoice. Because ….

God wastes nothing!

I’d love to hear what you are thankful for, despite this year’s challenges, please leave a comment below.
